re:future Lab COLLEGE

Future is open. Navigation comes next.

Knowledge transfer

How to forge new ground?

Changes in the outside world inevitably lead to distortions in our inner world. In a time of unprecedented uncertainty, the search for comprehension, apprehension and orientation is a human need.

This is where the re:future Lab proposes an college program, to start a new journey towards new ideas, and bring confidence, inspiration and comfort at an individual level. Individuals, corporate and institutional entities alike are invited to participate in a modular program ranging from one-to-one sessions to multiday masterclasses, where they can generate new ideas and solutions, find new sense, explore uncharted territory, and develop their own routes to attractive positive futures.

The program is based on Madeleine Schwinge's core thesis that more than ever we need key artistic qualities such as curiosity, risk-taking, sensitive perception, associative skills, resilience, self-efficacy, and the ability to cooperate in order to master the radical changes and challenges of our time. To this end, she has developed a mentoring and workshop practice that combines artistic research with curatorial and design methods and a systemic approach.

All sessions and workshops will take place in an art place surrounded by thoroughly selected works of art, with the objective to unlock the human potential, and open up to territories that would never have been imaginable before.

Incubator Curriculum

Tomorrow's Lab

An advanced learning program

Spanning over a year, Tomorrow's Lab is a guided journey through 6 intertwined labs, all tackling the most important sets of issues, challenges and innovations of our time. Based on the characteristics of experimental research and creation process, the modules are about traces, temporality, signals, amplification, composition, model ng, visualization, routes, serendipity, perspectives and performance.

Based on a maximal approach to experimentation and practice, this is a unique learning experience to make desirable futures tangible. It allows both individuals and leaders to get prepared for an unpredictable future in an unprecedented time of change. Even more, to shape present futures in an agile and constructive way, oscillating between yesterday and tomorrow.

The program is directed by Madeleine Schwinge and the faculty includes theorists and practitioners from art, art history, architecture and design, philosophy, anthropology, sociology, biology, neuroscience, and technology.

Participants graduate with a thesis paper, their Master-Map, and receive a Future-Practitioner-Certificate. And as of this moment, they are part of the supportive Tomorrow's Lab alumni community.
