Ayumi Paul

Ayumi PAUL (b. 1980, Gießen, Germany) is is a violinist, composer and artist. Her work is based on the practice of listening. Using paper, textiles, sewing techniques, performances and installations, Ayumi explores the theme of connectivity, creating a sense of synchronicity between the body's perception and the energy and vibes of biotic or abiotic matter. She performed and was shown in major art institutions, such as Blockhouse Gallery Tokyo, National Gallery Singapore, Thaddaeus Ropac Paris, SFMOMA, Gropius Bau Berlin. In 2022, she was artist-in-residence at Gropius Bau (The Singing Project). Performances include Holitopia 2023, re:future lab, Berlin (2023) with site-specific performance All Eyes Hear.
