Prof. Stella Geppert

Prof. Stella Geppert is a sculptor and performing artist. She is Professor for sculpture and performance at the University of Art, Halle (Germany). The body's sensual ability to "think" itself into the space and into the respective body, the fabric, the substance and matter is an important aspect of Stella Geppert’s work, in which she combines sculpture, drawing, performances and interventions in public space. Amongst her latest works are Routes Of Empathy, Sounds For The Organs and Communication Captures. Stella is a professor at BURG Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle for sculpture and performance. Since 2020 she has been part of the Berlin performance collective for choreographers FLUTGRABEN PERFORMANCES. Performances include Radical Rooming, re:future lab, Berlin (2021) with InsideT—Learning from the Body.
