Worldbuilding through Art and Future Design

• Art and Design research: Participants learn how artistic research methods can be used to address topical challenges and impact future scenarios.
• Systemic psychology vs. Futures forsight methods: participants will explore complex interconnectedness and develop solutions from different angles.
• Expanding methodological skills: The workshop facilitates a variety tools and techniques to expand participants' methodological skills toswards integration of transdisciplinary knowledge.
• Impact thesis and process: The concepts and techniques are directly applied to the students’ master projects.
• Sharpening one's own role, vision and goals: Through supervision and mentoring, the participants are encouraged to reflect on their personal role as future designers and to sharpen their visions and goals.

A special highlight is the excursion to the Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart ‘Hamburger Bahnhof’ on the course's third day, which offers participants the opportunity to critically discuss the theoretical concepts in a real context and to draw inspiration from art.

Overall, the workshop provides an inspiring experience to open up new perspectives in order to enable students to integrate artistic approaches into their knowledge and skills.
